What Causes Impetigo Like Rash?

chronic impetigo like rash for the past 3 years that comes and goes , had 3 swab tests done, all came back negative for bacteria and for herpes. antibiotics seem to help a little but not that much. i get bumps on my lips, around my mouth and tip of nose that weep clear fluid then crust over does not ich or tingle or hurt.

The description of the lesions suggests that you might be having furunculosis which is an infection of the hair follicle.It can be treated with topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin.You must avoid pricking or fiddling with them. A short course of oral antibiotic like azithromycin might also help. Diabetes is one of the causes of recurrent folliculitis and thus must be ruled out. Regards
