What Causes Impaired Speech And Memory Loss?

My husband has difficulty speaking, he knows what he wants to say but the words don t come out right. He has been told he has age related dementia. I can remember reading an article about people having this same problem and it seems to me there was some kind of therapy they could do to make it easier for them to speak.I would like any information you can give me so I can get some help for my husband. Thank you. big

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi thank you for querry.
you are mentioned the symptoms of the patient as a case of dementia.
if this patient come to me with such complaints i will first go for CT head and than MRI if required to rule out any Cerberovascular event or stroke
in such case focal neuroligical deficit with motor weakness is important.
For dementia regarding thetapy is basically in congnitive impairment which require multidisciplinary treatment include periodic monitoring for behaviour and psychiatric symptoms and response to intervention.
hope u will get some information don,t hesitate to reply regarding related querry.
