What Causes Hot, Sweaty, Feeling Internal Bleeding In Neck After Neck Surgery?
My boyfriend had surgery on his neck for removal of a softball sized tumor about a year ago. He has recently been feeling not normal , his palms get really sweaty and he said the room gets hot. He feels that he may be internally bleeding in his neck. How could I tell if he is just overthinking and is just getting the flu or if there really is something wrong?
It would help us if you give some more information regarding to intervention.
Did he remove the whole gland ore only partial thyroidectomy? Is he taking hormonal replacement therapy at the moment? If yes, did he check the hormonal level lately?
These are signs of hyperthyroidism that should be caused by taking a large dose of levothyroxine but should be confirmed by checking the thyroid hormonal level. The idea of internal bleeding doesn't make sense. Hope the information will help.
