What Causes Hot Flashes With Faster Heart Beat During Old Age?

Dr, my mom is 78 and she has several episodes of feeling hot flash from her leg moving upwards and fast heart beat at the same time. this lasts only minutes. We have seen the heart specialty, he asked her to wear a heart monitor for 30days. The results did show she is irregular heartbeat, but not serious. Her blood pressure, sugar level are all normal during these episode. We do not have a treatment plan, becasue the Drs do not seems to know what her medical problem is? Please advise.thanks
