What Causes Hot Flashes, Stomach Discomfort And Breast Tenderness?
I have endo, and I had surgery for it about 5 months ago. Im not on birth control and my husband and I are sexually active. I have been having hot flashes recently, with some stomach discomfort and breast tenderness. I am due to have my period in four days. I am not sure if I should go to the doctor or if this is normal endo stuff. Please help. Thank you. (Oh, I am 20 years old)
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Unprotected intercourse can lead to pregnancy. The endo do not have such side effects of delaying or altering the periods. If the periods are delayed, then it can be due to pregnancy, stress or hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease. I will suggest you to get an urine pregnancy test done, if negative, then you should wait for the periods for one week. If still not there, then you should get your hormonal profile done and ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis and get appropriate treatment timely. Hope you found the answer helpful.
