What Causes Hot Flashes During Periods In A 21-year-old?

Hi there. I'm just wondering if it's common for young women (I'm 21) to experience hot flashes (or similar to them, I'll be fine one minute, and then all of a sudden I'll be sweating and feel like I have four sweaters on or something) when on their period? I sometimes get them when I'm not on my period too. I'm just curious. Thanks!

Thyroid hormone fluctuations can cause these kinda symptoms. I would suggest you to do a TSH test.
