Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Not sure what is going on. I just ended my period. Which was weird to begin with. First, it started right on time which is not normal. And it was extremely light. I'm talking like less than a pad a day. And it went on for 12 days. Then today, two days later, out of nowhere I get a super hot flash, extreme dizziness and sickness and feel like I am about to pass out and puke. Also what came with that was some intense bleeding. I soaked a heavy tampon in about an hour. (This all just started about an hour ago). It usually takes several hours with a regular tampon. What is going on?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The symptoms you describe point to an abnormal uterine bleeding to be investigated. Many medical conditions can give you that presentation. Some possible causes include: -A miscarriage/incomplete abortion -Hormonal imbalances -Medical conditions like fibroid and uterine cancer -Pelvic inflammatory disease I will suggest you see a Gynecologist for evaluation.A pregnancy test and a pelvic ultrasound may be needed for initial evaluation. If need be, hormonal and infectious work-ups may be requested.Your management will depend on the results of the tests. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
