What Causes Horrible Burning When Urinating And Trying To Hold Toilet?

I have been having trouble emptying my bladder urinating for several weeks now. I have also had abdominal pain and nausea off and on. Today I was trying to urinate and had a sududen pain with horrible burning while trying so I sat there holding toilet tissue on my urethra and after it passed and I looked there was blood on the paper. I did not pass anything but it worries me! What should I do?

1. UTI -- urine routine examination.
2. Stones in urinary tract -- KUB X-ray.
