What Causes Hoarseness Of Voice?

I can not raise my voice as in singing or if I wanted to scream, no sound comes out after my vice hits a g range. My throat locks and no sound is produced. I am also having some hoarseness, and have to chew some food, such as bread, up into more tiny bites. I m a musician with our church and there is no voice after a normal g range....I ve tried to scream and it just hurts the sides of my neck muscles and still no sound

Hi,

Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated to rule out any possible lump or growth in the throat. It can also happen in conditions like vocal cord disorders.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
