I had gastric gastric bypass surgery in 2003 & have been diagnosed with several related problems. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of gastric bypass surgery and food sitting in the stomach in spite of normal upper GI Endoscopy.
You another concern is about the hoarse and changed voice.

Th probable reason of hoarse voice may not be related to your stomach problem, it may be laryngitis or some problem with vocal cords. This can be diagnosed easily on upper GI endoscopy.
The treatment is voice rest and oral medications or surgery as per the cause.
Another problem of your feeling of food sitting in the stomach alone may be related to the gastroparesis.
I would advise you to undergo the barium study under fluoroscopic so that the cause of your feeling can be diagnosed.
You may need an additional motility regulator medication like Domperidone or Reglan and you may be fine then.
