What Causes High White Blood Cell Count When Suffering From Diabetes?

Hi, my name is Stacey and I am 44. My white blood count has been high for the last year and my VA doc has finally sent it to a hematologist. My question is what should I be concerned about with what is happening to my blood? I have diabetes and high cholesterol so I am worried.

Hi
High white blood cells count is could be an indication of worsening diabetes. It is commonly found in diabetics and obesed persons when their conditions are not evolving well. After seeing the hematologist, asked your doctor if a visit to an endocrinologist will not also help.It is something to worry about but do not be too worried.Just trust your doctors and they will help you with the best decisions as far as your drugs are concerned.
Stay blessed
