General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Infection and fever can cause a high pulse rate.

It is a transient response and will return to normal in a couple of days.

If the pulse rate is persistently high, you can consult a cardiologist and get evaluated to rule out possible causes like cardiac arrhythmia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
