What Causes High Protein And Foams In Urine?

My urine has been foamy for up to 3 months I think, the urine test showed no proteins, but the 24-hour urine test showed 350mg. I made a ultrasound and the kidneys look fine. I know I need to see a doctor but have no medical insurance for now. Any of your input on how to proceed is appreciated in advance.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

350 mg of urinary protein over 24 hours period does not fit into the diagnosis of nephrotic syndrome.

It can be part of early nephritis where your ultrasound turns out normal.

Detailed molecular analysis regarding the type of protein as microalbumin or others with CT scan of the kidney, bladder, ureter with IVP, kidney biopsy as per the clinician evaluation ahead focus best of the issues possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
