What Causes High Heart Rate And Strain With Chest Infection?

Saw doctor Wednesday diagnosed with chest infection, blood test showed crp 27.7 is this normal for a infection?
Had 4 days of antibiotics so far, feel heaps better but things are still
A bit more of a strain and heart rate elevates more than normal, is this just my body recovering from infection?
