General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello , thanks for your question..

According to your information it seems like your dad is suffering from acute pylonephritis. It is condition of kidney infection presenting as pain abdomen fever vomiting.
But dont worry the condition can cure if treated properly.
If this is the case then i generally

1. Send a urine culture for detecting the likely organism causing infection
2. Send CBC and Serum creatinine
3. Maintain adequate hydration with oral fluid or iv fluids
4. start on the iv antibiotics and Analgesics

Thankyou
