What Causes High Fever Along With Body Ache, Headache And Fatigue?
hello, I ve been very sick for 4 days. On day 3 my temperature was 102, on day four (today) it was 103. I don t have any congestion or a sore throat. My other symptoms are chills/aches, headache (ibuprofen helps), extreme fatigue, dizziness and inappetence. Initially I thought it was the flu but now I m wondering if it s something else. I have cats and my vet suggested Bartonella or Toxoplasmosis. Also, a couple of weeks ago after a trip to the country, I removed a tick from my bod. There was no ring around the site and it healed quickly but perhaps it s Lyme disease. Thank you, Bronwen

I think in this situation you should make a physical examination by a Infectious Diseases Specialist because need to see other signs and to perform lab examination like full blood count , c reactive protein, liver function test,culture of blood , urine test, urea/creatinin test, abdominal echo to see if you have enlargement organs, and related to your epidemiological data you need serology for Bartonella henselae, for borreliosis and Weil Felix test for rickettsial disease.
In my experience in this situation you need a hospitalisation to observe further fever and other signs.
