What Causes High Diastolic Blood Pressure?

Suddenly my heart stops beating and comes back with a blow. I ve been having left side chest pain for quite a few years. My blood pressure used to be very low 80/60. But recently the systolic is normal 120 but the diastolic goes high like 90;100 and above. I m 22 years old female,5 feet 5.5 inch tall and weight around 57 to 59. I m under depression and stress. I ve been asked to do ECG three years ago due to chest pain. My high diastolic pressure is causing me physical problems. Should I be concerned?

High diastolic bp is associated with increased resistance in large blood vessels(arteries like aorta).systolic bp is more towards heart problem.
high diastolic bp can be due to many reasons.the most dangerous being aortic aneurysm.you might need to take an abdominal CT scan or USG scan.chronic smoking also can cause diastolic bp to rise first and systolic follows.so it's better to have abdominal USG or CT to rule out dangerous possibilities.
