General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for writing.

I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. The reason of raised BP in most cases remains unclear and is called essential hypertension. However some factors like anxiety, smoking and low vitamin d levels are independent risk factors of the condition.

There is nothing to worry as raised BP is a manageable condition. It would require a concerted effort on your part too. Usually it can be controlled with dietary changes, regular physical exercise, yoga and meditations and of course medications.

I suggest you consult your GP who may start you with a management plan comprising of above strategies to help keep your BP under check.
