What Causes High Blood Pressure Just After Childbirth?

had my BP checked by a neighbour.. said its 130 over 90. Is this high? I recently had a baby (1 month) not getting enough sleep and carrying home duties. could this be a contributing factor?
Not in the states, just a mom at home in Jamaica, West Indies needing a response without having to head to a hospital!

Dear Mrs,

You shouldn't be concerned;
1. once measured blood pressure doesn't indicate of having high blood pressure, it can be accidental
2, 130/90 is not high, it is borderline, as I have mentioned already, it can be accidental, can be incorrect measurement
3. you have recent birth, which is stress, you have very busy daily regimen and do not sleep well, all these can lead to a little rise of blood pressure, it will return to normal, if you regulate your regimen.

So you shouldn't worry, you can monitor your blood pressure for some days, if there are high data, you should try to regulate your regimen

Hope I could help you
