What causes high blood pressure and dizziness?

I had ambulance out last night to take me to A&E, high blood pressure. Was very dizzy and tightness in temples, thought I was on my way out. They gave me a pill to bring B/P down and sent me home with strict instructions to get B/P monitored by GP weekly. and have further blood tests. what is causing this please?

You need to exclude salt from your daily diet
After one week of control diet and strictly blood pressure monitoring if you still suffering high blood pressure medication is absolutely needed
