What Causes High ESR?

Normal E S R level is 2-10 mm of 1st hour.
High E S R may be due to some chronic infection anywhere in body . But I want to tell you that any type boils , furuncles , cellulitis mild bronchitis , U T I can elevate E S R , so first of think , do you have any such infection in your body.
When cause is not known about any infection ( for high E S R ) I recommend my patient to take levofloxacin 750 mg / day for 10-15 days with aceclofenac 200 mg CR twice in day.
But I want to tell you that after stopping of treatment ( E S R) at least it require 6 months to decrease E S R.
