What Causes High BP?

Hi ! I had a high blood pressure last evening i-e 145-120 and felt some pinching strokes in the forehead just above the eyes. Visited doctor and took medicine as per prescription. Now feeling normal. I am a smoker (10 to 20 cigs a day). Is it caused by smoking? Can it lead to heart problem?

Yes smoking has ve deleterious effects on all the organ system of our body.

As you are a chronic smoker, nicotine levels would be higher in your body. Nicotine causes sympathetic stimulation and increases the blood pressure.

So I would advice you to quit smoking as soon as possible.
