What Causes High BP?
Hello, I m 37 weeks pregnant. I went to the doctor friday and my blood pressure was up, they done a stress test and everything was fine. They had me lay on my left side awhile and then rechecked it. It was then normal. I ve had a headache the last two days and checked my bp a few times with an electric bp machine. Everything it s been high.. The last time I checked it was 142/98. Should I be worried and try and contact my doctor?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion 142/98 is considered as high BP.So you need to consult doctor as the BP medications might be needed to lower BP.Dont worry as the high BP seen during this gestational age doesn't cause much problem.Because you are already term and there is no chance of growth restriction of the baby.If not controlled with medications then termination of pregnancy might be needed.
