What Causes Hernia?

I was recently diagnosed with a hernia. This was on Nov. 4th. Since that appointment I have been experiencing more pain than usual in that area and I am not able to eat a full meal without feeling sick to my stomach. So my question is what could be causing me to experience all these things now? And who should I see about having the hernia repaired?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear,
U didn't mentioned exact location of hernia...
They can be many type like epigastric umbilical or hiatus. ..out of all dese hiatus is a dangerous variety ...mostly ur suffering from epigastric hernia whic is chronic and easily treatable by surgical correction.
Second thing is that there is no medical treatment for hernia. ..u can take pain killersor other ssymptomatic treatment.
So I will suggest u to visit a general surgeon ; and if it is hampering ur routine life than go for a surgery.
Thanks.
Hope ur queries answered.
