What Causes Heavy Sweating And Swollen Throat With Speech Impediment?
Three times in a period of a week and a half my husband has woke up sweat pouring off his body and swelling of throat and speech slightly effected. also left side of face feels different to touch but it returns to normal in about 1 1/2 hours took to er couldn't fine anything. cat scan. chest exray ekg nothing

Understanding your concern. As per your query heavy sweating and swollen throat with speech impediment are pointing towards a condition known as sore throat , which occur due to bacterial or viral infection . Infection like upper respiratory track infection or sore throat sometimes spread to surroundings like larynx and cause laryngitis . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper treatment. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics penicillin for 3-5 days. For now you should avoid taking oily and fried food substances and do warm saline gargles several times a day and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling. Doctor may order throat swab test and viral culture test and you should get it done to find out exact diagnosis and start treatment accordingly. Avoid taking cold carbonated beverages.
