I took ortho tri cyclen for 2 months and it did not lighten my period or make it shorter. I actually was on it to prevent pregnancy, anyway I stopped taking it on the end of my 2nd pack of pills after I had a period, which was 7 days long. 5 days after stopping it, I am bleeding again since Saturday. Is this normal? I was bleeding so heavy last night that I bled through my shorts, tampon, and underwear. It woke me up and I went to the bathroom and was just dripping red blood and small blood clots. I have had continously cramps for a week now. Ibuprofen is not helping those. I won t bleed much on a tampon now but when I take it out and wipe I m still bleeding bright red. The cramps are very annoying. I didn t know if I should bleed for 7 days and then bleed heavy after stopping the pill? Please help. I have had other side effects too, such as very sleepy, moody, sharp pains in Boobs, bloated, sneezing like crazy, ect. Thank you!
