Hi

Firstly the cause of irregular periods such as polycystic ovaries, obesity and hypothyroidism should be identified and treated effectively.Treating only the symptoms without treating the cause cannot provide a long term solution.

Ultrasound pelvis,FSH LH hormone ratio ,thyroid profile and blood sugar level , body mass index is essential to identify the cause of irregular periods. Hormonal imbalance is the main cause of delayed or irregular or scanty menstrual bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
