What Causes Heavy Cottage Cheese Discharge In Pregnancy?

i am 10 weeks n 5 days pregnant for the 3rd time (i have a 5 n 3 year old). i'm 28 and i am having heavy cottage cheese discharge n it has some color, like pinkish, not heavy but its there; and i bled for about 2/3 days n then spotted at about 6 weeks n was put on bed rest. can you help me? what could this be?

Cottage cheese discharge from the vagina is typical of fungal infection called as Monaliasis or Candidiasis.
This infection can be cured with local antifungal applications which your gynaecologist will prescribe you after carrying on clinical examination on you.
While taking this treatment, please follow the following norms:
1. Practice sexual abstinence till you get completely cured.
2. The discharge gets pent up in the underclothes. So while on the treatment, use panty lines, boil the underclothes for 20 minutes before washing every day. It is advisable to change the underclothes after the treatment is over.
3. Keep your nails clipped short lest the infection gets pented up into the nails and you get reinfected.
4. Both the sexual partners should undergo the treatment simultaneously and the same norms are applicable to the male partner also. Remember, sometimes, male partner may not have any visible symptom and may decline for medical check up. This should be tackled effectively. Counsel him for medical check up and treatment. Otherwise reinfections are very commonly known.
5. These infections are commonly found in commode users. So proper cleanliness of commodes is essential.
6. Personal hygiene is the key to get rid of this infection.
