What Causes Heavy Bleeding During Pregnancy?
I m 18, 5 7 , 125 pounds, & 8 weeks pregnant according to three urine pregnancy tests and my last menstrual period. I began spotting two weeks ago then bleeding heavy over the last week. There s no consistency in color or amount of blood and no cramping at all. The bleeding stopped two days ago but I began bleeding brown blood lastnight. I have an ultrasound this upcoming week to check things out. What could this be?

The spotting that you had initially could be due to implantation bleeding. The heavy bleeding could be due to a subchorionic hemorrhage, bleeding from the placental site. You should see your doctor right away and also get an ultrasound as soon as possible.
If everything is ok with the preganncy, your doctor may start you on a progesterone supplementation.
