What Causes Heaviness In The Right Knee And Back?

Hi, I would like to know the heaviness that I been feeling in my right knee and towards the back too. For so long I had like a swollen towards the right side of my knee. But since like almost one month it slowly went down, but now I fell like heaviness or tightness. I can cope with the pain cause is not much but this feeling of heaviness sometimes I can t even sleep well. Can you recommend me what I should do or what can it be causing it ? Thank you so much in advance. Lourdes from Texas.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan to look for possible spine related conditions like prolapsed disc or nerve compression.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
