Hi Dear,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . The most probable reason for your symptoms is acidic reflux disease (GERD ) or gastrointestinal reflux disease. Smoking you mention in query may aggravate the condition but may not causing these entire symptoms.
This condition occur due to regurgitation of acidic content of stomach back into
esophagus , Which produce symptoms like irritation in throat , nausea and
dry cough.
I would suggest you to not to take heavy and spicy meals, eat atleast 1 hour before going to sleep, take small meals and avoid smoking .
I condition still persist then
consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may perorm endoscopy and prescribe antacid like gelusil , H2 blockers (ranitidin)and and
proton pump inhibitor to reduce acid content .
Also
consult pulmonologist to rule out respiratory problems .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
