What Causes Heat In Legs And Numbness In Foot?

I just started experiencing some heat in my legs, more specifically the right leg. There was a little redness, no pain, but it kind of felt stiff. Now my foot is starting to feel a little numb. I was worried it might be a blood clot because I not only took Yaz for years but also am a smoker. Should I go to the ER and have it checked out or would there be more obvious symptoms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, you should definitely see a doctor in person urgently. It could be a deep vein thrombosis, dangerous! Sonography and D-Dimer test have to be done.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
