What causes heart palpitations?

HI! im 22 and fainted twice last week. I go to gym regularly and started taking protein shakes like 2 months ago and was not able to eat properly due to my tight schedule. After i fainted recently, i feel sinking in heart oftenly since the last 4 days although i eat properly now since the last week. May i know what is causing this sinking feeling in the heart?

Well come to HCM
In this young age if there is history of fainting then this is matter of concern indeed, and in my opinion condition need to be taken for investigation because this could be anything right from cardiac disease to CNS disease, some time this may be due to hypoglycemia and these all need to be differentiated and ruled out, hope this information helps
