My son has a diagnosed heart murmur since birth. We never really thought it has affected him. However I have seen some strange symtpoms in the last 5 years which nobody seems to be able to put together. It has been seen as a behavior problem only. I, on the otherhand believe otherwise. He has poor concentration, is foggy brained at times, requires an enormous amount of sleep just to function normally. Appears to have a learning disability. Sweats like nothing I have ever seen. Thyroid has been seen as OK. He has come to me with worries when his heart palpates to 130 beats per minute and not doing anything to make that happen. We have tried every ADHD medication on the market with no success. He is 13 years old now and school as well as life is a struggle for him. I had asked the doctor for a sleep study and she laughed at me. I have spent thousands of $$ trying to find out what the problem is and nobody can help me. He has 2 pediatricians which have run with the behavior thing. I don t agree, I think we are missing something and it has to do with his oxygenation? Please help!
