What Causes Headaches, sleeping Difficulty And Nosebleeds?

My daughter, age 11, has complained of headaches , trouble sleeping, and infrequent nosebleeds. Today, she complained of weakness, shakiness, nausea, blurred vision/sudden loss , muffled hearing and pain behind one eye. This all occurred in about 1 minute followed by a headache and nausea. She had a mini episode later in the day and then experienced a nosebleed 8 hours later, followed by another mini episode. She has not started her periods yet. Is this hormones or something more?

Hello,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having.

It seems that you have a migraine. A migraine is a type of recurrent type of headache. A migraine usually starts due to a trigger factor. Examples of trigger factors are:
Fevers
Infections
Weakness
Periods
Hormone issues

In your case, it seems that the headache is caused by the irregular hormone levels. You should see a Doctor and get examined. I would be wary of abdomen pain as well.

If the Doctor does not find anything, then you can try the following:
Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages
Drink lots of water
Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day
Eat meals at regular times

Follow up after 5 days. All the best.
Hope this helps you. Feel free to clarify further.
