What Causes Headaches And Sore Throat?
It started approximately 3 weeks ago with headaches, which I thought were mild migraines. 2 weeks ago tomorrow, I woke up with a severe sore throat and sinus congestion in my head. Progressed throughout the week with post nasal drip and cough. Last Wednesday night I took Delsym to help me sleep by stopping my cough. I woke up after awhile and felt nauseous, that morning I woke with a fever, Low grade ranges from 99.0 to 99.9. Has not gone away with advil or sleep or anything. I notice I am tired easier and no energy. Still have the cough and have continued taking delsym to help relieve the cough. Tomorrow will make the 5th day of fever if it is still there. Should I worry?

Hello there. I have read through your question and according to me you have developed upper respiratory tract infection. If I were your physician I would have prescribed an antibiotic course for you. Tab Amoxyclav 625 taken thrice daily for 5 days would cover mixed infections. Also take Paracetamol thrice daily for three days to control fever. continue taking Delsym syrup to relieve cough.
