What Causes Headaches And Pain On Back Of Head And Ears?

I have had chronic headaches with shooting pains in back of head behind my ears and at base of neck. Sometimes I get vertigo at onset of headaches. These headaches last 2-3 days at a time. Sometimes my eyes leak or I get pressure on roof of mouth. At night I can t sleep on back because of pain at base of neck and pressure in back of head. Sometimes feels like sinus pressure but doctor ruled out sinus infection.

Hi
thank you for trusting HCM
I read carefully your symptoms and understand your concern
It seems that your symptoms lead to a primary headache
It means that you haven't any brain pathology that cause it so you don't have reason to be worried too much
If you have ruled out sinusitis by head CT it is time to start treatment to avoid headache
Those might be migraines attacks so a neurological consultation will determine it and prescribe the right treatment
Hope my answer will be helpful
Please feel free to ask for further information or doubts
Best wishes
