What Causes Headaches And Nosebleeds In Teenagers?
My son is 15 and had had headaches and nosebleeds the last couple weeks sporadically. Nosebleeds aren t terrible, but take a a few minutes to stop and headaches are persistent. Neither are common for him. He says headache is all over and tonight it was in the back of his head. Any suggestions besides ibuprofen for headaches and any idea what could be causing this repeatedly? He is about 5 10 and weighs about 175
The commonest cause of headache is migraine. He would need preventive medicines such as topiramate or propranolol to reduce the frequency and severity of headaches. Nose bleed is unrelated and needs to be evaluated by ENT.
