What Causes Headaches And Nausea After Insertion Of A Cardiac Stent?

My 82 year old Mom just had a stent put in four weeks ago. She has not felt good since then. She has the same symptoms every day since her procedure, which are headache, nausea, and at times her blood pressure is elevated. She was recently back to the emergency the other day and they did a CT scan of her brain and said she had some inflammation in her sinuses. She has no appetite and has lost 10 pounds in four weeks. They also said that her kidneys have declined since the last time (4 weeks ago) that she was in the hospital. They also did an EKG and it was fine. We have an appointment with a neurologist and a kidney specialist next week. Do you have any ideas why she is feeling so lousy. Thank you in advance. Cathleen
