What Causes Headaches And Eye Twitching With Bowel Problems?

Hi. My brother has been having MANY symptoms the past two year. Most worrisome was a drop in EF to 40% with a diagnosis of viral myocarditis. He also has SIGNIFICANT bowel dysfunction - constipation, gastric paresis, ++ bloating. He also has testicular pain, headaches, twitching of an eye muscle, stiff neck , etc., etc. I am wondering about autonomic dysfunction. I did have him admitted to hospital but cardiology ONLY looked at cardio stuff and g.i. ONLY looked at gastrointestinal stuff. I have been BEGGING for neuro consult and/or infectious disease consult (?Chagas disease, ?lyme disease) and/or general internal medicine consult. Any ideas?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your brother and understood your concerns.
He has many symptoms, admitted and under care of multi-specialty. Has EF of 40% due to Viral Myocarditis, constipation, gastric paresis, bloating, testicular pain, headache, twitching eye muscles, stiff neck and so on; wants consultation of specialists but not yet getting.
The complexity of symptoms indicate that it may be viral problem that has affected all the body systems.
Otherwise the Internal Medicine Specialist is the one who can really help with the clinical diagnosis to be supported by the investigations of blood, urine, stool, spinal fluid analysis, Ultrasonography, X-ray of the chest and the Special investigations as per the clinical findings.
Also needed is the symptomatic treatment in the form of laxatives, motility regulator like Domperidone, Muscle relaxant with painkillers so that symptomatic relief is done and then specific tests as needed.
Yes, Neuro and Infectious Disease Specialist consultation is very much needed.
