What Causes Headaches And Drowsiness After Using Clonidine Patch?

i started using the clonidine patch tuesday, prescribed by my dr. it is .2. i think it is causing headaches and drowsiness. blood pressure is normal with the patch and only elevated without it. can i safely remove the patch and see if that helps my drowsiness and headache. i have clonidine pills in .1 and .2 if blood pressure goes up

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headaches and drowsiness after using Clonidine patch. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like migraine , sinusitis and ear infection , but in your case the symptoms can also occur due to clonidine patch . As overdose of clonidine known to cause such effects . I would suggest you to doctor who prescribed clonidine and discuss the situation . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for proper examination and treatment . For now take over the counter antiemetic drug and drink green tea with ginger thrice a day . Avoid bending forward or do not remove patch without consultation with your doctor.
