Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Sudden onset headache, starting with one side of head and then going bilateral especially in temple area, associated with nausea, blurred vision, sore neck, aggravated by sunlight or exertion classically occurs in migraine. The symptoms you have mentioned fit into migraine headache and you should consult a neuropsychiatrist for proper treatment and evaluation. In migraine medicines like propranolol, atenolol are used to prevent headache. In severe headache medicines like Sodium Valproate, Amitryptiline etc are given to patient. As common pain killers are not working in your case and in such situation medicines like ergots as Sumatriptan can help. The medicine help to control severe migrainous attacks. Please visit a doctor for prescription of these drugs.

Try to avoid tea, coffee and carbonated drinks. Sleep at time and sleep attest 8 hours in night. Balanced sleep results in improvement in headache. While moving out don't forget to wear sunglasses.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
