I have had a headache since this morning and the left side of my body went completely numb. It got better, but I still had a tingly feeling on my left side all day and it s getting worse now. I m 21 years old, 5 3, 120lbs, and I m in pretty good health. I used to be anorexic, but I ve been eating normally for a good time now.

Hi.

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Your symptoms might be due to Classic Migraine without aura numbness & tingling)or Tension Headache. Usually migraine headache presents with Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, dizziness & pain radiating to tip of the fingers, tingling, pale skin etc. I advice you to,
1. To take Analgesics like Naproxen /paracetamol & Triptans
2. Neck massage & hot compress on the affected area.
3. Relaxation & Stretching exercises.
4. YOGA
5.  Caffeine drinks
6. Avoid exposure to light, noise etc

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
