What Causes Headache And Nausea After Sopping Birth Control Pills?

I had unprotected sex last night and emergency contraception is illegal here. I have been on the pill for a month but when I got on my 2nd month I was having bad headaches and nausea so I had to stop on the 3rd day. ( that was on June 23) I had my withdrawal bleeding June 28, and I didn t do anything sexual until last night (July 10th) am I protected from pregnancy and can I use my birth control pills as EC?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Your cycle is not protected since you have stopped using the oral contraceptive pill. The efficacy of the regular pill as emergency contraceptive is not well established and higher doses have to be taken which can lead to side effects. In current scenario, you have to wait for your next period and go for further management. Hope this helps.
