Hi,

Noted your short history of one sided headache, just a dull ache, mucus like stuff, site not mentioned hence most probably in nose and wants to know whether the headache is related to sinuses or not, worried a lot.
One of the causes of one sided headache is part of sinusitis.
Other causes can be migraine , vasculitis, brain tumour and so on.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor, have clinical evaluation, rule out Hypertension and thyrotoxicosis.
Get MRI or CT scan of sinuses and brain.
Relevant tests of blood.
All these will preliminary diagnosis as to the cause of headache and if migraine or so then a course of medications will help to get a cure.
If the problem is purely related to sinuses then consult an ENT Surgeon for further evaluation, investigations and medications.
If the medicines fail to give you cure then go for surgery if advised so.
Use nasal decongestant drops and steam inhalation, may give relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
