What Causes Headache And Loose Stools After Taking Trintellix?

I was taking effexor xr 225mg for 15 years and it wasnt working i told dr and they told me to stop and start trintillex 20mg. I have been itching and loose stool upset stomach and headaches and feel like crap. I looked up side effects and i am really worried about having the symptoms of seritonin syndrome can you tell me if i should worry. I told my dr on wed and was told to continue what i was doing.

Trintellix, (Vortioxetine) is an SSRI, which helps to restore the balance of serotonin in the brain to help patients get rid of depression. When you are taking this medication along with any other medicines you should keep your treating physician informed as drug interaction can lead to serotonin toxicity causing symptoms like dizziness, severe nausea, vomiting, muscle twitching or diarrhea.

When you are experiencing these symptoms you should know that you need medical attention. Visit ER, get physically examined, evaluated & treated. You may need a change of the prescription.
