What Causes Headache And Fever With Chills?

My 7 year old came down with a fever of 102-103 Friday night with headache and has the chills. Today is Sunday and it is ongoing but now he can't keep food down. He is very thirsty and drinking water. I have been giving him tylenol and iibprophen to keep the fever and headache down. What else can I do, should I take him to the doctor?

Hi.... Many thanks for consulting in Health Care Magic. It looks like viral illness. More III important is the activity of the kid when he's in the fever free interval. If he's active during that period.. Do not worry. I suggest you use only plain paracetamol & don't use along with ibuprofen. If he's got rash/ bleeding anywhere/ black colored stools/ low urine output/ seizures/ unconsciousness..you need to worry. Hope my answer was helpful for you. Happy to help anytime.
