What Causes Headache Along With Gastric Problem?
Hello Doctor.My mother is 50 yrs old and from past 15 days she is facing the problem of headache.Sometimes she feels itching(burning sensation) for few minutes, sometimes little pain,sometimes cooling sensation on some portion of head.She also has gastric problem. Is the headache related to gas or something else

I understand your concern about your mother.Your mother appears to have gastritis with diffuse headache with various somatic symptoms on head(burning sensation,hot and cold sensation- as you told).This headache appears likely a stress headache or Tension type headache(TTH).It may be related due to anxiety.Gastritis is usually not associated with headache,though subjectively patients do sometime associate it.Proton pump inhibitors can be given for gastritis and some tricyclic antidepressants for the headache(under your physician's guidance).I hope it helps.
