What Causes Headache After Removal Of Sebaceous Cyst From Scalp?

I had two sebaceous cysts removed from my scalp on this past Friday. Five stitches in each area. One area keeps bleeding. I m not messing with them at all. My main concern is I ve had a headache ever since that I can t get t to go away. The doctor prescribed 5mg of vicodin every 4 hours as needed. It s not helping. I took Ibuprofen. I ate with my medicine. I m not dehydrated.it doesn t seem to be infected. Is this something I should ask to have a sooner dr appt for? I m not supposed to see him for follow up/removal of my stitches until june 11th. I can t handle a headache that long.

Hello dear,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com. Sebaceous cysts removal must be causing headache due to anything related to the local site(suture removal site). If one of the wounds is bleeding, you need to please visit urgently any other surgeon(as you said that you are not able to meet your regular surgeon till 11th).It needs to be ensured that wounds are healthy.Suture are prone to get infected in some persons. So,infection here has to be ruled out.Since headache is not associated with vomiting or clouding of consciousness,it is almost sure that there is no intracranial pathology here. So,please visit a surgeon as soon as possible.I hope it helps.
