What Causes Headache After Novasure Procedure?

I was on BC pills since I was around 19-20 years old. I am now almost 49 years old. I had the Novasure procedure done back in 2010 so I have not had a period since then. So this past October or so, I just decided to quit taking the BC pills. Now, since November I have had almost a constant pressure like headache. Some days are worse than others but I just keep thinking they will go away. They really don't interfere with my everyday life other than just being annoying and of course I am always thinking about it which doesn't help. Could this actually be from stopping the pills? Should I go back on them? I was taking Trivora 28's.

Hello and thanks for the query,

I understand your problem. You had a novasure and were on pills. You seem to be having headache a month after stopping pills.

The pills do cause headache but this occurs when women begin to use pills. The pills are no longer in your system so it is unlikely that the headache is due to pills. Novasure does not do anything to the body except just destroys the endometrium, so it is also not responsible for headache.

I suggest that you look for other common causes of headaches like stress and tension, weakened eyesight and onset of presbiopia [ decreased near vision], excess use of computer, lack of proper sleep, high blood pressure, cervical spondylosis. They are innumerable.

I do understand that headaches are annoying as they do not allow us to function optimally. So it is best to visit a physician and look for the cause and get it treated.

Hope this satisfies your query.
